Productivity is Addictive

Being productive is addictive; it is built on daily habits, and as we all know, habits are hard to break.

Productivity is unique; it’s difficult to begin, but once you’re productive, doing nothing is frustrating. My one year of #DailyRawProject and doing workouts right after waking up was a turning point in my productivity.

I was inspired to write a post about productivity by my favorite K-pop idols, Mark Lee and Haechan Lee from NCT 127 & NCT Dream; they are in two groups and the backbones of NCT Discovery; you can recognize their voices right away and their absence is noticeable.

They are two of the most productive and hardworking people I have ever known. Perform in various concerts, compose music, do music promotion, TV interview, be a model for an ad campaign or magazine, practice (dance & vocal), they do it all for both groups with almost no rest.

However, they proceed to do everything flawlessly and even have extra energy to communicate with fans via social media. They admit it is exhausting, but they enjoy it because they love music. Even when it’s time to rest, they manage to stay active. Fans frequently wonder how someone can be so productive when we all have the same 24 hours in a day?

I dare to say that productivity is addictive, at least for me

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to be more productive than others? They keep moving and are always trying to do something. They stay active because doing nothing was uncomfortable for them.

Being productive is addictive; it is built on daily habits, and as we all know, habits are hard to break.

You can’t stop once you’ve formed a productive habit. You always want to do something; it’s tiring, but you feel energized when you do it, and you feel empty when you don’t. In this case, the activities should be something you love or must do.

I used to hate sports, but I have to do it for my health. Now I can’t live without it. Similarly, I like to create something new every day; it is suffocating and has put me under a lot of pressure but stop creating feels empty.

I attended to college while working a full-time job. I used to be hectic with college assignment, test, and office job. After graduated from college, despite having a full-time job, I felt unemployed. I was looking for online courses, new hobbies, and activities to fill my time. Just make sure to have 7 hours sleep every day, rest and have fun every weekend but Mon-Fri is productive day.

A highly productive person has a daily target and a to-do list

They used to actively smash the to-do list, thinking about “what should I do tomorrow” every time they went to sleep. Even they have weekend plans that are as simple as swimming, reading a book, or hanging out with friends. When they have extra free time, they are prompted to engage in some activities.

They excel at time management

We don’t need more time; we need more focus. Stop multitasking and start work smarter, not harder. As a result, you can make better use of your time and complete more tasks, and maybe have time to watch Netflix!

They also know when to take a break

We all need rest. You can’t give your best without enough rest. It’s not healthy, which is why you need to learn how to work smart and manage your time. When it’s time to rest, please do that; nothing in this world is worth your mental or physical health.

In conclusion, being productive is a habit. And habit, as we all know, is hard to break. Build a good habit is a key to boost your productivity. Just don’t forget to rest. Thanks for reading, cheers!
